Filament extrusion and
3D printing.

3D printing is a process that enables to produce shaped articles even in very small numbers and with individually different characteristics. The thermoplastic manufacturing process based on FDM (fused deposition modeling) is different from conventional injection molding. In this respect, it is not surprising that plastics with processing properties that differ from injection molding are required.

Polymaterials has an experimental line for the thermoplastic production of new filaments for 3D printing in customer projects. In addition, we developed new melt processable support materials that can be removed from the component in aqueous alkali and other media after printing. We can provide such materials for testing purposes.
